Yes it worked great and thanks again! You are right..there is sooo much to learn in the Poser program..I only have touched the surface and I have been a user since version 4 ! Thanks again Aine!

You're very welcome! I had to shorten it so it would fit here. lol

The rest was little comments, but I doubt they would help in the long run.
I don't consider myself an expert, while there is a great many things I can do in Poser, there is still a great deal more to learn. This should get what you wanted done and set for you

Hi Aine! Wow..thank you so much for this info..BIG help!! Thanks!

Take your object, in this case Vicki, into the Pose room and select 'body.'
Move to the Material Room and make all the changes to each of the material zones.
Once you are done, go back to the Poser room, make sure you still have 'body' selected on Vicki, and click on your 'library > materials' icon.
Create a folder if you need to or click on the folder you want to save your material into, and click the click the 'Plus' sign at the bottom ( add to library ).
A pop-up will appear asking you to fill in the 'Set name'. ( do so )
    Then a choice -
Single Material -- which works if you only want to save one type of Material. ( like nails )
    or
Material Collection -- which allows you to select only certain parts of a figure object, or all of them. ( I believe this is the one you want )
So select 'Material Collection' then click 'Select Materials' button and set which and what you want to include / exclude, and click 'OK'. You have now saved a material collection!
    Hope this helps!

Hi Aine..I thought of you when I thought of asking someone here this question. You seem to be pretty knowledgeable about stuffs so here goes:
Do you have any idea on how to create a .mt5 file for Poser out of a .jpg? Is it even possible. I am wanting to create a metallic texture for the V4 and dont have a clue on how to create a material file for Poser..do you know of any good tutorials out there? I did a Google and cant find anything. Thank you in advance for any help you may have for me! Cheers!

When should one learn to texture? -- A humous look at learning

by Admin-Aine on 06-28-2011 at 05:56 AM
How hard can it be, texturing as the real texture artists do? Of course you would need to understand what it is to texture a model, then try to understand just how they get those depths and shine levels, shapes and design. In fact some of the models which we scramble for madly come or spring forth and reach grand heights due to the textures.

Again how hard can it be, I ask? In the theory of things Poser, I suppose one should learn to texture before learning to model. If one does this
