Happy All Hallow's Eve

Rate this Entry
Some call this the wicked time of year,
Scare and chills for each and all ears
I say not, and hear me out.
This is what this here is about.
A celebration with joy so cast out all doubt.

This time of year celebrated from old,
Religions came about so bold.
As the ending of one time and the beginning of new.
Completion of a year's time, the year renews.
Crops brought in, seeds sleep till spring debut.

Good byes we say to family and friends,
Who left this earth to travel new ends.
They get this one night to visit us
Untethered roaming around is a must.
Searching and seeking they can make a fuss.

They only search for treats and meals.
Bits of life they once had the deal,
But if given those tokens one or two,
They will pass you by without ado.
Back to rest by the first light and dew.

Should you be out this All Hallow's Eve,
With wind whipping the tops of trees.
Fret not the creaking sounds,
The moaning trees dancing all around.
This is their dance before their slumber is found.

This is the time when new life rebirths underground.
